Mirabeau Chapel’s Online Giving

Online giving is provided as a convenience to you. We do not recommend the use of credit cards as a way to make charitable contributions.  We want people to experience financial freedom in life and not be enslaved to debt according to Proverbs 22:7, “The borrower is slave to the lender.”  Also, when you use an e-check or a debit card instead of a credit card, more of your contribution actually ends up at Mirabeau Chapel and less goes to credit card fees.

We do recommend that everyone give in a way that is the equivalent of cash such as e-check or debit card.  Another excellent way of doing that is by setting up Mirabeau Chapel as a payee through your bank’s bill pay service.  In most cases, this service is free.  When it comes to online giving, it is not possible for us to distinguish between debit and credit cards. As a result, we sincerely hope that you will voluntarily honor Mirabeau Chapel’s online giving stance

Breakdown of online giving options:

Best = E-Check (.45 fee, whether you give $1 or $1000)

Better = Debit Card (approx. 2-3% goes to fees)

Worst = Credit Card (approx. 3-4% goes to fees)
